Delete your Medcast Media account

This page explains how to delete the account you created in the Medcast Media app or web app, published by Medcast Media Pty Ltd, and what happens to your data when you do.

Option 1: Delete your account in the app

1. Open the Medcast Media app and sign in.
2. Go to Profile, then Settings.
3. Choose Delete account and confirm.

Deletion takes effect immediately: your account is removed and you are signed out.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

1. Email privacy@medcast.media with the subject line "Delete my account", from the email address your account is registered under.
2. We may ask you to verify your identity to protect your account.
3. We process verified requests promptly, and in any case within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your account profile: name, email address, phone number, profession and specialty details
• Your registration and access records
• Your listening history, ratings and preferences

What may be retained, and for how long

• Records of subscription transactions, where we are legally required to keep them (for example for tax and accounting), retained for the statutory period
• Data we must keep to comply with a legal obligation or resolve disputes
• Copies in routine backups, which are removed as backups cycle out in the normal course
• Aggregated or anonymised information that can no longer identify you

You can also ask us to delete some of your data without closing your account - email privacy@medcast.media and tell us what you would like removed.
